Distractor Words

luna sol aquΓ grande bonita

Step 1 β€” ESTRELLA

Write estrella on the board. "This word is ESTRELLA β€” it means star. Notice the double L β€” in Spanish, double L makes a 'y' sound: es-TRE-ya. Close your eyes β€” can you see it?" Find it in the card pile. Build with tiles.

Step 2 β€” DΓ“NDE

Write dΓ³nde. "DΓ“NDE means WHERE. Notice the accent mark β€” it tells you which part to stress: DΓ“N-de. 'Estrellita, ΒΏDΓ“NDE estΓ‘s?'" Find it. Build it.
