Step 1 — ESTRELLA
Write estrella on the board. "This word is ESTRELLA — it means star. Notice the double L — in Spanish, double L makes a 'y' sound: es-TRE-ya. Close your eyes — can you see it?" Find it in the card pile. Build with tiles.
Step 2 — DÓNDE
Write dónde. "DÓNDE means WHERE. Notice the accent mark — it tells you which part to stress: DÓN-de. 'Estrellita, ¿DÓNDE estás?'" Find it. Build it.
