Our approach

Fostering Wonder provides homeschool curriculum, family planning tools, free resources, and a newsletter. We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate those services, support families, fulfill purchases, and understand how our public website is used.

We do not sell or rent customer or newsletter lists. This policy explains what information may be handled by Fostering Wonder and the service providers that help us run the website.

Information you provide

• Accounts: your name, email address, authentication information, profile details, and account activity.
• Purchases: your name, email address, products ordered, order identifiers, payment status, and delivery history. Stripe handles payment-card information; Fostering Wonder does not receive your full card number.
• Family tools: schedule settings, student names or labels, curriculum selections, notes, progress, and saved plans that you choose to store.
• Newsletter and support: your email address, subscription choices, messages, and any information you include when contacting us.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics on public informational and curriculum pages to understand aggregate activity such as page visits, referral sources, and device types. Analytics is not loaded on authentication, account, cart, checkout-return, unsubscribe, or private family-scheduler pages.

Before an analytics pageview is sent, Fostering Wonder removes URL query strings and fragments from the page and referrer addresses. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, order identifiers, checkout session identifiers, or authentication and password-reset tokens to Google Analytics.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses cookies and browser storage for necessary functions such as maintaining a signed-in session, remembering a cart, completing a checkout return, and briefly prefilling an account-confirmation address. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies on eligible public pages. Disabling necessary browser storage may prevent some account, cart, or checkout features from working correctly.

How information is used

• Provide accounts, saved plans, curriculum access, and customer support.
• Process orders, confirm payment, deliver digital products, and maintain transaction records.
• Send account, purchase, support, and newsletter messages you request or agree to receive.
• Protect the website from misuse, investigate errors, and improve performance and usability.
• Meet accounting, tax, legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

Service providers

We use established providers to operate the business, including:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Supabase for accounts and application data.
• Render for website hosting.
• Google for website analytics and business email services.
• Resend for portions of account-email delivery.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect customers, or defend the security and rights of Fostering Wonder.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services and maintain appropriate business, accounting, security, and legal records. Different records may have different retention periods.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in a newsletter. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete applicable account or newsletter information by contacting us. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons.

Children’s information

Purchases and customer accounts are intended for parents, guardians, educators, and other adults. We do not knowingly ask children to create customer accounts or provide personal information directly. Adults using family tools should enter only the student information they are comfortable storing with their account.
