Fostering Wonder History has two pathways for grades 1 and 2. Charlotte Mason emphasized starting history with the history of the child's country of origin and then progressing chronologically through the historical time periods. For parents using a charter school or public school system it may be difficult to do this, for this reason Fostering Wonder has created a Grade 1 and 2 route that merges British History and American History to meet the state standards. Parents who would like to only cover British History one year and then start American History the next year are also able to do so using the other route for grade 1 and 2 history.
