Hi friend,
The website is officially open, and the curriculum is available for purchase!
For now, the curriculum is available as a digital resource. I am also looking into ways to offer printed hardcopy options for families who would like a physical copy, likely for an additional cost.
You can visit the website, browse the curriculum pages, look through the samples, and get a clearer picture of what Fostering Wonder offers for your family.
While the website was paused, I worked through the curriculum carefully and made updates so the lessons would feel more complete, thoughtful, and true to a Charlotte Mason approach. This took longer than I first expected, but I am grateful for the extra time to refine the work before placing it in families’ hands.
What you will find on the website
You will find curriculum pages, sample materials for each grade available, and more about the heart behind Fostering Wonder before choosing what may fit your family.
My desire is for the website to feel calm and easy to use — not overwhelming. I want it to be a place where a mother can come, look through the options, and feel helped rather than rushed.
Why the pause was worthwhile
During this pause, several new supports were added to make the curriculum easier to use:
- History: two pathways were added for Grades 1–2 — one combined British + American History route to help families meeting charter school or public school requirements, and one route for families who want to cover British History first before beginning American History the next year. Map review files, composer study suggestions, picture study suggestions, and optional written composition lessons during the term celebrations in Grade 5 were also added.
- English: extra support for Pilgrim’s Progress, which finishes in Grade 2, and then continues with Christiana’s story from Pilgrim’s Progress beginning in Grade 3.
- Shakespeare: additional character information to help students and parents keep track of the story.
- Grade 5 English: optional written composition lessons were added.
- Resource Library: new updates make the resources easier to navigate, including the addition of grade-specific “Riches and Beauty” subjects.
More grades and resources will be added in the near future, and I’m looking forward to making those available to you all as well.
